We believe transparency builds trust. This page covers our commercial relationships, how we use AI in our work, and what our editorial standards are.
Our Business Model
CU 2.0 is a B2B fintech consultancy. We work with fintech companies to help them refine their go-to-market strategies — including pitch, product positioning, sales approach, and conference planning — so they can better align with and serve credit unions. We also publish informational content about fintech companies and technologies to help credit union executives make more informed decisions.
We earn revenue through consulting and advisory engagements paid directly by clients, and through commercial arrangements with fintech vendors who sponsor or co-produce content on our platform.
Our Relationships with Companies We Cover
CU 2.0 has been working in the credit union fintech space for a long time. Over the years, we’ve built consulting, advisory, sponsorship, and publishing relationships with a large number of the companies that appear on this site — including fintech vendors, credit unions, and credit union service organizations. We don’t publish a running client list, both because it’s extensive and because certain relationships are confidential.
What we will tell you plainly: if you see a company featured, mentioned, or analyzed on this site, there is a meaningful chance we have had — or currently have — a professional relationship with them. That’s the nature of operating as a specialist firm in a niche industry for many years.
When a commercial relationship directly affects how a piece of content is produced — for example, when a vendor has paid to be featured in a decision kit or sponsored a content program — we say so on the page. Look for language like “Featured Fulfillment Partner” or “Sponsored.” Our editorial content reflects our genuine views; paying us for consulting or advertising does not purchase positive editorial coverage.
How We Use AI in Our Work
CU 2.0 uses AI tools — including large language models — in the production of content published on this site and distributed on behalf of clients. This includes blog posts, decision frameworks, landing pages, analyses, and email content.
- AI drafts are reviewed and edited by a human team member before publication
- Factual claims, vendor performance statistics, and market data are verified before being published
- CU 2.0 staff are responsible for the final content, regardless of what tools produced the first draft
- We do not publish raw AI output without review
AI can make mistakes. If you find an error, contact us at info@cu-2.com and we’ll review it promptly.
How We Handle Vendor Performance Data
Much of the performance data we publish — implementation timelines, ROI figures, loan volume increases, staff time savings — comes directly from vendors. We make reasonable efforts to verify these claims but we are not an independent auditor. When a stat is vendor-stated, we say so. When figures are illustrative, we label them as such. Verify all vendor claims through your own due diligence before making purchasing decisions.
No Legal, Financial, or Regulatory Advice
CU 2.0 is not a licensed financial advisor, attorney, CPA, or regulatory compliance firm. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, investment, or regulatory advice. Always consult qualified counsel before making decisions with regulatory or financial implications.
How We Approach Our Work
- We do not publish false or misleading claims about any vendor, including clients and partners
- We include alternative vendor options in sponsored decision kits so readers can evaluate the full market
- We update or correct content when we learn it contains errors
- Partners and sponsors do not control editorial framing unless the content is explicitly a co-branded asset
